AfterOne restoration,
in 60 seconds.
A full renovation from start to finish, filmed on site:
- Sanding with a mechanical nylon brush, 80 grit: the greyed wood comes off without gouging the board.
- Details & vertical faces with a random-orbit sander and an edge sander fitted with a nylon brush.
- Full cleaning and dusting between sanding and finishing.
- Adjacent surfaces masked (walls, copings, glazing) before application.
- Two coats of sealer applied by block brush for deep penetration into the wood.
We repair before we rebuild.
A wobbly, sagging deck — or one that traps water — is not beyond saving. From boards and fixings to pedestals and joists, we repair only what needs attention before sanding the whole deck.
Re-levelling
Sagging deck brought back to level: water no longer pools.
Joists
Replaced without rebuilding the whole structure.
Pedestals
Added to stiffen the deck where it flexes.
Waterproofing
A strip on every joist: the structure stops soaking up water.
Boards
Replaced, then blended into the rest by sanding.

A deck exposed to full sun, sea spray or pool water changes quickly. We begin with a complete restoration, then maintain the result every 8 to 12 months according to exposure.
Initial deck restoration
- Inspection of boards, fixings, pedestals and joists.
- Repairs only where they are needed.
- Mechanical sanding or brushing suited to the condition of the wood.
- Thorough cleaning and dust removal.
- Walls, low walls, glazing, pool copings and nearby surfaces carefully masked.
- Decking oil application: it penetrates the wood, reduces water absorption and helps preserve its stability and appearance against greying.
The result: a clean, even and protected deck, without unnecessary replacement.
Maintenance every 8 to 12 months
- Inspection of the wood and the existing decking oil.
- Thorough cleaning, or brightening only where the wood needs it.
- Walls, low walls, glazing, pool copings and nearby surfaces carefully masked.
- Decking oil renewed before the wood begins to deteriorate again.
- Frequency adjusted for sun exposure, sea spray and proximity to a pool.
Maintenance extends the restoration result before the deck greys or becomes damaged again.
